Senior VA/VE Expert (f/m/d) – Exhaust Systems

For our customer, a German company, we’re looking for a

Senior VA/VE Expert (f/m/d) – Exhaust Systems

Tasks:

• Evaluation and analysis of assemblies, tools, purchased parts and devices
• Estimation of potentials and value analysis with cross-departmental cooperation at local and international supplier locations
• Discover supplier potentials, analyze cost structures and examine implementation measures & timing
• Supplier evaluations including creation of allocation keys and surcharge rates
• Benchmark studies performance including ABC analysis, best practices etc.
• Profound knowledge management including the execution of VA/VE workshops and result analysis
• Presentations to top management
• Method optimization and conception of templates, standards, tools and reports
• Preparation of value analysis including cost determinations & advanced calculations, preparation of make-or-buy decisions
• Transfer of best practices in one or more areas (planning, procurement, manufacturing, tool management, etc.)
• Evaluation of supplier equipment and vendor manufacturing processes
• Assessment of new manufacturing processes with regard to profitability and evaluation of their influence on in-house product development processes

Profile:

• Bachelor degree or above, major in a technical field
• Several years of experience in value engineering and / or value analysis (VA/VE)
• Experience in automotive industry for Tier 1, preferably with exhaust systems
• Analytical skills and experience in dealing with mathematical models
• Experience with various metalworking techniques such as welding / stamping
• In-depth MS Office knowledge
• Willingness to undertake national and international business travels
