Architect with design talent (m/f/d)
for our Dortmund Office (LP 1-4)
Gerber Architekten are looking for an Architect with 3-5 years experience at our head office in Dortmund to join our Team Asia for high-profile designs in China.
You should bring an outstanding design ability boosting our design ideation, contribute architectural, external and internal space concepts, refine design concepts and be able to produce designs quickly and effectively in ArchiCAD, Rhino and Lumion. What we expect from you:
- you are a fully qualified architect with a proven design talent
- you have minimum 3 years’ experience in concept and competition designing
- excellent design capability with strong conceptual thinking
- innovative and competitive personality with a passion for architecture and design
- solid working knowledge of current trends and events in the architecture and design world
- solid working knowledge of visualisations and animations
- very good English language skills
- Mandarin language skills will be an advantage
- Effective use of ArchiCAD/ Revit, Rhino, Lumion, Grasshopper and the Adobe suite
- Hand sketching will be an advantage
What your tasks will be:
- Co-designing competitions and commissioned projects
- Self-designing specific tasks, driving the design thinking
- Thinking deeply and broadly, then:
- Testing, refining, querying, reflecting, challenging, re-testing and re-producing designs
- communicating closely with our teams in Germany and Shanghai
